John Carlson is an extremely talented sculptor who specializes in faux landscapes. He’s created aquariums that look like coral reefs for zoos, built replica trees with fiber optic lights that come out of the branches, and 25 foot mesas with subtle images of horses carved into the side; all using concrete. His work speaks for itself, so I was thrilled when he commissioned me to create a 30 page color brochure showcasing his work. John was looking for a high quality brochure that would appeal to his prestigious clientele. The size of the pages are a big eye catcher, it’s 12 inches long and 4 inches tall, with each page coated with a UV film that makes the images shine. Some of the photos were provided by the client and needed to be heavily altered due to age, film grain and color, while others I got to take myself.
